Epic Adventure Racing Camp - Autumn 2011
Discover the excitement of adventure racing on our Epic Adventure Racing Camp at The Adventure Centre this Autumn. This two day camp is designed to give children aged 9-13 an insight into the skills involved in adventure racing. It will be a unique, challenging and enjoyable experience with a special end of camp award for all participants.
Drop off: Thursday 27th October, 9.00am at The Adventure Centre
Collect: Friday 28th October, 5.00pm at The Adventure Centre

- Orienteering
- Off road running and biking
- Special team challenges
- Open water crossing
Activities will take place on site at The Adventure Centre and at locations on Dartmoor, with the overnight camp spent at Nun’s Cross Farm.
Staff profiles:
Nick Robinson – Former Olympic Swimming Coach, Experienced Multi-sport competitor including Karrimor International Mountain Marathon, 3 Peaks Race, Half Iron Man UK, Hi-Tec Adventure Race Series.
Paul Birchell – Qualified climbing and kayaking coach, Competed in and organised many adventure races including Karrimor International Mountain Marathon and Source to Sea, Ran in the British Orienteering Nationals.
What to Bring:
- Sleeping Bag
- Off road bike and helmet
- 2 spare inner tubes to fit bike tyres
- 3 sets of running/cycling clothing
- warm clothes for evening including hat and gloves
- waterproof jacket
- torch
- 2 towels
- toiletries
- lunch on day 1
- evening meal which can be made by adding hot water eg. dehydrated meal, noodles, pasta etc (please try before to ensure you like it)
- simple snacks eg energy/muesli bars for 2 days
- 1 large bag for spare clothing, food and sleeping bag
- small comfortable day rucksack for snacks, gloves, torch etc.
To Make a Booking
Please download the Booking Form (below), complete, sign and detach the Booking and Consent Form and return to us with full payment. Provisional bookings may be taken over the telephone or by email but must be followed within one week by a Booking Form and payment. (No refunds will be given due to participant’s cancellation).
